Pulled from the archives of Manoa Free University, "border sounds" traces the efforts of the WR aesthetic-political collective to map the Eastern perimeter of the EU border as it existed in the summer of 2001. Composed from field recordings and interviews, "border sounds" forces the larger question of how might soundscapes resist a "Beautiful World" tendency to inform and interrogate political process.

WR intend for border sounds to be listened to as one continuous program. When using iTunes as player, enable the 'crossfade playback' option set to 0 seconds. Doing so will eliminate the appearance of gaps between individual tracks.

INSTRUCTIONS: In order to create your own copy of this release, download the files above to your local hard drive. You can then create a CDR of the audio files, and print the graphics file to make your own CD cover art. For best playback results, when burning a CDR of this album eliminate the spaces between tracks by setting the default pause between tracks to zero (0) seconds.

NOTE: If the files are opening within your web browser, save them to your local hard drive by placing your cursor over the link or opened file, click-and-hold until a pop-up menu appears, and select the option "Save file as..."
